What should we do as the World’s peace is threatened?

When adversity falls, the children of God turn to follow Him! Lifestyle Speakers, the world is facing unrest as terrorism threatens the security of the world. As young people and at a crucial time like this when we don’t make world decisions, our opinions on how we think peace should be reinstated to the world is almost made invalid and void as busy ears are half-heartedly or never turned towards us- Understandably.
What should we do at this kind of time when the clock just seems to be ticking for another disaster and the hashtag “pray for the world” is ready to be typed and labeled the trending hashtag? Let us talk to God. Prayer, in my opinion, is overrated. Prayer is often seen as a formal ritual that needs to take place at a particular pace after and before doing certain things which can be deemed unnecessary. Prayer is simply talking to God, having a casual conversation and questioning in hopes of a response while informing, complaining, requesting and asking God of the things he already knows.
The bible says in the book of Proverbs chapter 18 verse 10 that, “The name of the lord is a strong fortified tower, the righteous (we) run to it and are safe
Completely, believing and yielding to God’s will is the most important thing to do at this time of adversity. These are the end times, we’ve been told countless times, and inasmuch as it pains even me to admit, Terrorism is a sign of the world coming to an end.
Matthew 24:6 says, “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet”
Cutting straight to the chase, how do we young, people, the people of the world (Christian or not) need to prepare for and face this?

  • We need to not fear. We need to completely and utterly relinquish all control to God. The bible says, do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Let’s not worry about war or ISIS or Boko Haram and all other threats. Instead, let us accept, as instructed in the bible, that all things work together for those who love God. For those who are called according to his purpose. For US (you and I).
  • Repent :- We need to repent. We all need to relinquish all control and turn back to our creator in heaven. I sincerely believe that almost everyone has the knowledge of God. We acknowledge him in our everyday lives (whether positively or negatively) through arguments, profanities, our consciences, our existence and the simple, unappreciated fact that you have the privilege to read this blog post. The privilege to breathe, to live, to be. We need to repent and for Christians who’ve backslid and those who are right with God, we all need to re-acknowledge God and just worship him and thank him and glorify his name for who he is because he is the God of Gods, the Sharon of rose, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the corner stone, the Lion of Judah, the bread of life. He’s the omnipotent God, the omniscience, the Lord who when he says ‘yes’, nobody can say ‘no’. We need to worship his majesty, glorify him and lift his name high and most importantly, announce his kingship and guidance over our lives while denouncing and breaking the devil’s destruction and obstruction. The bible says that the enemy has come to kill, steal and destroy but the son of God, God, has come to give life and give it abundantly.

The world today needs to accept that light. We need to accept God, we need to shout out and cry out to God. We need to be at God’s feet. We need to make conscious efforts in our everyday lives and activities as we relinquish control to the messiah. We need to let go and let God. The devil wants to scare us but if God is for us, who can be against us?
Psalm 23 goes on to say,

Amen! Thank you lord for this platform and this opportunity to bring light and to bring YOU into this, O lord. Father lord, let one person be touched o lord. If many are touched by your word, that will be good lord but if ONE person’s life is transformed by this blog post o lord, that is doing my job. That will be satisfactory enough. It doesn’t have to be today or tomorrow but someone being impacted by this today or years from now and applying this to their life o lord, that’s the purpose.

I hope this will help us bring peace in the midst of this adversity. In the midst of adversity let us all call on to God and live with him in the secret place of the most high. For we will say of the lord, our God, “in YOU will we trust”.

Thank you lord. Let your name be glorified.
