First Week Of College Reflection!

Hi, Lifestyle Speakers!  Welcome again to my blog, I hope you are having a beautiful day! Today makes it exactly one week since I’ve moved into college and what better way to “celebrate” but to reflect on the past week of my life.

So college move in day (pre-moving), was filled with excitement and hot hot anticipation of a new life that promises independence, freedom and beautiful experience! The traffic that led back a mile away from my college campus wasn’t helping my anticipation as we had to wait for cars to move. When we finally got a convenient parking spot after locating my dorm hall, we (my dad, his friend and I), lifted up boxes after boxes after boxes into my dorm suite which I love and as I stared at that empty space with nothing but dressers, a desk and chair and my mattress, I knew I couldn’t wait to get my hands on that boring room (follow my blog to be the first to know when I upload my dorm tour this Saturday).

Move in day was not a breeze like I expected as I became confused as to where to start unpacking from but hold your horses, your girl figured it out and went to bed around one am. Apart from meeting people and having tons of new phone numbers on my contact list, the four-three days of orientation wasn’t very enjoyable for me as we mostly had to seat in large halls while we listened to people talk- yeah, that was not the most fun thing to do.

I attended a local church on Sunday thanks to a Christian ministries that I’ve joined here on campus. Despite the fact that I liked this new church, it’s going to take a little bit of getting used to as I really miss my home church back at home.

Classes began on Monday and I was so excited to begin. I am so excited about classes and one thing I’ve being told but never truly anticipated is “time-management”. I feel very often like I have so much to do and such little time  to do, so for now, I’m just trying to adjust and learn how to manage my time in a productive way.

College classes are definitely nothing like high school classes and the grading system is definitely different in a way I didn’t anticipate. My favorite class is Anatomy & Physiology and I am so excited about it because it is taking me a step closer towards getting my nursing degree! You, guys!- Textbooks are so expensive by the way1 Just letting you know!

I have made so much friends and met quite a good number of remarkable people it’s nothing short of beautiful.

I am terrified of getting the freshman fifteen, yet, I love food so much, lol!

I have started taking a new healthy plan for myself which is, for the past couple of days, I’ve being taking the stairs instead of the elevators. I hope I can keep up with this lifestyle as I know this will definitely help build a heathier lifestyle!

I love my dorm room, I am so happy with how it’s come out and I am so excited to share it with you guys this Saturday in hopes that fellow freshmen will find some inspiration!

Before school resumed, I applied and I was accepted for an opportunity to write for my school’s Society19 website. It was such a huge and great opportunity for me which I was really excited and happy about but sadly, I have decided to quit it. Hold on, hear me out. I felt like being asked to write things “the ins” about my college was just too much for me because even I didn’t know the “ins” yet. Also, with my crazy schedule plus this blog in which I have to manage (I love managaing it by the way!), it just wasn’t the right thing for me to do. I don’t want to sit down on my desk, thinking up a storm when I can be studying or out doing whatever responsible college students do.

Also, thank you guys so much for all the recent likes, comments and follows, I absolutely appreciate them. College life has being so busy but I’ll definitely find time to show some appreciation really soon! Maybe I’ll host a giveaway when that follow button hits a 100, woohoo!- Let’s do it!

I know you guys want to hear about the guys, yes, there are hot guys around campus but remember the advice I was given? Wanna get the inside joke? Click on the underlined words!

If any other fellow college students read this blog or incoming college students slash high school seniors and have any college questions for me (hahaha, because I’m now a pro after one whole week and a couple of hours), please leave me a comment down below and I’ll be sure to reply.

Till this Saturday, please have a blessed couple of days and month (Happy new month, by the way!) and I hope God’s grace follows everyone through!
